AHSRA Conference 2020

We invite you to submit a proposal for a presentation at the Adventist Human-Subject Researchers Association (AHSRA) Conference at Andrews University June 17-20, 2020.

The theme of AHSRA’s 2020 Conference is “Health, Gospel, Community: Get Involved!”.

Submissions:
We have rolling submissions for the 2020 Conference, with submissions open now to April 1, 2020. Please review the revised information regarding the submission of papers and the proposal rating criteria. In order to facilitate applying for Visa’s we will let submitters know of their acceptance within 30 days of their submission. We will let submitters know if they have an oral or a poster by April 30, 2020. We hope that this helps our members obtain visas in a timely manner. Apply early if you need to apply for a visa!

AHSRA Conference 2019

The 2019 Adventist Human-Subject Researchers Association Conference will be held at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama on May 15-18. We invite you to submit a proposal for a presentation on any area of human-subject research. Please note that submissions for an oral presentation must be made by March 22, 2019. AHSRA Conference 2018 – Call for Presentations

We invite you to submit a proposal for a presentation at the Adventist Human-Subject Researchers Association (AHSRA) Conference at Andrews University May 16-20, 2018.
The theme of AHSRA’s 2018 Conference is “Our Research Data Makes a Difference: Transforming the Church and Community”.
The conference solicits presentations that show how human subjects’ research has influenced and improved Church and community policies, programs, and practices.
The conference will explore such issues as:

  • The role of research in assessing church/community needs.
  • How evaluation research has influenced policies, programs and practices.
  • Policy maker and administrator views of research data and what they need.
  • How to bridge the world between academic research, policy makers and administrators.
  • Other topics will also be considered – we wish to be inclusive and represent the research interests of all of our members.

Presentations will be approximately 15-20 minutes each, including 5 minutes for discussion. This may vary depending on the number of submissions and sessions.

Registration for the 2017 Adventist Human-Subject Researchers Association Conference is now open!The 2017 conference, held May 17-20, 2017, in Loma Linda, California, will examine factors that facilitate mental, spiritual and physical health of those visible in the public square to those in the shadows.

AHSRA Conference 2017 – Update

Abstract submissions have been extended to Friday, February 3, 2017, 5 p.m. EST. The conference theme is “Whole Person and Community Health and Wellness”. Additional human subjects’ related research topics are also encouraged for submission. The total costs (housing, food, and registration fee) will be posted by January 16, 2017. 4th Adventist Human-Subject Researchers Conference

The Adventist Human-Subjects Research Association is pleased to announce its Spring Conference to be held at Oakwood University, Huntsville, AL

The conference will take place May 9 through 11, 2016

The conference theme is: The Internalization of Faith

We will explore:
• What facilities faith internalization from programs to relationships?
• What hinders faith internalization?
• What is the impact of faith internalization on mental health, physical health, risky behaviors, and decision making?
